Learn More About The Family Law Advocacy Of Attorney Scott J. Levine
Since 1999, we have protected the rights of families throughout New Jersey going through life transitions. No matter your family issue, we have the experience you can trust. Today, our comprehensive family law practice includes adoption, paternity, prenuptial agreements, divorce, child support and custody, alimony and post-judgment modification requests.
We offer a variety of advocacy styles, including mediation, negotiations and litigation. We are skilled at finding the right approach for your situation. For example, you can minimize time and expense by negotiating a proposed settlement agreement.
Our presence throughout the negotiations will ensure your confidence in the proposed settlement agreement. Where an issue requires proactive oversight, such as a prenuptial agreement or adoption, we take the time to thoroughly explain and guide you through the process. We fully invest in your case so you don’t have to worry about it.
Experience You Can Trust
Of course, it may not be possible to amicably resolve some contested family law situations. If litigation is required in a contested divorce, we know how to build a compelling case or aggressively argue motions in court.
Attorney Scott J. Levine‘s background includes serving as a former legal services attorney and working in appellate and trial work in the private sector. As we result, we know how to gather evidence through civil discovery, incorporate expert witness testimony, and utilize a range of litigation techniques to protect your interests. Finally, if legal intervention is necessary to protect you from domestic violence, we know how to act quickly to obtain a temporary restraining order.
Results And Respect
Our experienced legal advocacy and our commitment to our clients have not gone unnoticed. In 2011, South Jersey Magazine named Scott J. Levine an Awesome Attorney. The New Jersey Supreme Court has designated Mr. Levine as a certified matrimonial law attorney.* Perhaps most important, however, is that a substantial potion of our new clients are referrals from satisfied past clients.
* “Certified matrimonial law attorney” is a designation granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court to attorneys who are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in matrimonial law practice. The Supreme Court, through its Board on Attorney Certification, designates only those lawyers who apply for certification and who are able to meet the standards set by the board and approved by the court.
A certified attorney is more than just an attorney who specializes in a particular area of law. A New Jersey attorney who is certified by the Supreme Court as a matrimonial law attorney must have: been a member in good standing of the New Jersey State Bar Association for over five years; fulfilled ongoing continuing legal education requirements; demonstrated a substantial level of experience in matrimonial law; been favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with his or her work; taken and passed a written examination in matrimonial law.
